Jamaica
"I had such a hard time
finding a 20s/30s inspired gown - Bess took all of my ideas and truly
created a dress that had both a vintage and a contemporary look. I
absolutely loved it. Bess was phenomenal!"

"Jamaica had this great
themed wedding - Hollywood glamour, 20s and 30s style - but she didn't want
a flapper dress. I had so much fun researching the styles and fabrics
from that time. Jamaica was really trusting in my design capabilities,
and she ended up just loving the dress and the veil. "

Jamaica's Dress:
Inspired by the late
twenties and early thirties, this dress has the flavor of that time period
without being a replica. The double layer of silk chiffon skirt has
side slits with varying lengths, and pearl accents at the end of each point.
Tassels and pearls, very big in the twenties, are combined with more
contemporary elements, like the A-line skirt and the empire waist. The
lace used in the bodice, although new, looks vintage, and the trim on the
straps and waist have pearl accents as well. The veil is certainly
truer to the era, with its pleated cap and tiny fresh flowers pinned at the
sides.
